As always, I love your pictures! It looks like such an interesting place to visit!
I love the photos , and the links you have in your comments .Speaking of links . Are you spending some of you time on cruise ships ? Clicking on the above link , makes me wonder .
If so , I hope you enjoyed your self . They sure would make a big fishing ship . L O L

Oh, no, Ronny!
You won't catch me on one of those things!
I was always afraid of one thing on board of any vessel, and it wasn't sinking, it was fire.
The thought of having no control over that excludes me from sailing on one, much to the lovely Carols disappointment.
When I first started driving for a living , in 1978 . Thirty three years ago . I arrived at the port of Miami in the middle of the night . As the sounds of the morning woke me up , and I steped out of the truck . There was a cruise ship only a couple hundred feet away . Seeing it , for thirty three years now . I wanted to go on a cruise .
I would thing . You , JJ and a few other salty dogs could turn a cruise ship into a fishing vessel .
I'll bet it could pull a net , and not slow down . Just think . A fishing boat with a swimming pool . a casino , ballroom , dinning halls , and to stay fit , a full gymnasium . Enough room to have a crew of a couple thousand .
I sent you an E-mail a couple of weeks ago . I was worried about you and all my friends up the East coast . When the hurricane blew through . I saw complaints about people losing power and it not being restored with a snap of a finger . A couple hundred power crews were passing through here Friday before the storm made landfall Monday .

After a bit of mis comfort, we find we have survived!
That black lobstah yacht looks more apeelin' than one o' them cruise ships 'ole dog!
I just had to play with this idea . On a cruise ship you would have to walk to work . Not roll out of the bunk , and be at work 20 feet away . You would have to shower , shave and put on a tuxedo , to go to dinner . With only special invitation dine with the captain . Making sure you watch your language in front of the captain and the many guest . Remember to complement the chef . I know your chuckling at that this .
We love the pictures of the fishing boats . I'm making light of how life must be there .
I wish not to distract others from making their comments .
RON
That is somewhere I would rather not go . I'm to straight to except that . I know they have names for people like me . That is their problem , not mine .

Interesting pictures BH. Love the ocean and boat/ship photos. We don't see too many (none) in the plains states.
Hmmmm... some of these photos look familiar. I think I recognize those two ladies in the background. LOL Wonderful photos BH!!!
My gal says were gonna hit the number!
She said she'll buy me a Lobster yacht just like that, so when you guys come back, We'll be squiring around on one of those! lol.
Oh, that would be a lot of fun. Tell Carol I hope she does "hit the numbers". :) I'll try to call you all this weekend. ♥
always nice to walk along the sea with you BH. You have a mighty nice neighborhood to share with us, thanks. :)
Plenty of condos there now, dog.
Back in the day, not long ago, there was nothing but fish boats.
Everyone wants to live on the water, except when it storms bad. :)
Thats the best time, though, dog!
Theres no one around, and the treasures you find can be awesome.
Lobsters, big sea clams, you never know.
Just remember, its illegal to molest lobster gear washed up on the beach!
Great photos, BH! It's always interesting to see your part of the world. Is that Mrs D's gull?
These are beautiful photos bore-head. Portland Maine looks really wonderful!
Honey, I'd much rather be with you and those cute little green bugger's!
It's a lot nicer now than it was twenty five years ago when it was a major fish town.
Was the ambiance better when it was a major fishing town?
You just come on over, Kona is a drinking town with a fishing problem! Just the other day a small pickup truck pulled onto the road from the harbor with a marlin in the bed that was too big and hung over the end! That was such a cool sight.lol
Well, js, back then, not too many there would've known what ambiance was or meant, let alone say it. lol
A hard workin, hard livin' hard drinkin' waterfront with some very colorful characters.
Kona sounds like my kinda town!
I thought that might be the case of the before and after, bore-head and before would be my preference. None of that fancy stuff, just plain fun. My Pop worked in a steel mill and his buddies were a lot of fun and didn't get all proper on anyone.
Awesome shots, miss the water. Hopefully be able to go to visit family next summer (niece is graduating). Brother in law has a couple boats (river & ocean) & we always go out a couple times when we are out there visiting (Oregon). Also hope one of these years to come out & visit your area, it is beautiful & my wife has never been to the east coast. That needs to be remedied.
Mrs D loved it!
You guys will too.
We'll be waiting for you!
Nice, very nice.. for a Saturday stroll..autumn time must be lovely time to go.
