Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren’s campaign says she misspoke when she said Republican U.S. Sen. Scott Brown should release 20 years of tax returns.
Warren’s comments, reported by the website GoLocalWorcester.com, came Monday night at an appearance in Worcester celebrating the opening of a campaign office.
Warren said Brown should release tax returns for all the years he’s been in public office
Earlier this year Brown released six years of returns. Warren released four.
On Tuesday, a Warren spokeswoman said she misspoke when she was asked a question about Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who has been criticized for saying he’d release no more than two years of returns
